Ingredients

  • 2 oz espresso (double shot)
  • 1 tsp creamy peanut butter (one big teaspoon)
  • 1 tsp sweetened condensed milk (one big teaspoon)
  • ice cubes (for shaker and serving glass)
  • 4.5 oz milk of choice (4-5 oz; dairy or plant-based)

Steps

  1. 1

Brew a double shot of espresso and add it to a cocktail shaker.

  2. 2

Add 1 big teaspoon of creamy peanut butter to the hot espresso.

  3. 3

Mix the espresso and peanut butter together thoroughly for about 30 seconds until the peanut butter is mostly dissolved.

  4. 4

Add 1 big teaspoon of sweetened condensed milk to the mixture.

  5. 5

Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker.

  6. 6

Secure the lid and shake vigorously until the mixture is well-chilled and frothy.

  7. 7

Fill a separate serving glass with fresh ice cubes.

  8. 8

Pour 4 to 5 ounces of your milk of choice into the serving glass.

  9. 9

Slowly pour the peanut espresso mixture over the milk to create a layered effect.

Notes

For the best visual effect, do not add the milk to the shaker; pouring the coffee over the milk in the glass creates beautiful layers. You can use any milk including oat, almond, or dairy. The shaker used is the Sage Shake & Go
