Ingredients

  • 2 cup Pomegranate seeds (Fresh arils from approximately 2 large pomegranates)
  • 3 oz Fresh ginger (Peeled and sliced)
  • 0.5 cup Lemon juice (Freshly squeezed from about 2 lemons)
  • 0.5 cup Water (To help with blending)

Steps

  1. 1

Prepare the pomegranate by removing the arils (seeds) from the fruit and placing them into a high-speed blender.

  2. 2

Peel the fresh ginger root and slice it into small pieces, then add it to the blender with the pomegranate seeds.

  3. 3

Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and a small amount of water to the blender to facilitate the blending process.

  4. 4

Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely liquefied and the ginger is fully broken down.

  5. 5

Place a fine-mesh nut milk bag or a cheesecloth over a large bowl and pour the blended mixture into it.

  6. 6

Squeeze the bag firmly with your hands to extract all the juice, separating it from the fibrous pulp.

  7. 7

Pour the strained juice into individual glass shot containers or a large airtight jar.

  8. 8

Store in the refrigerator and consume one shot daily.

Notes

The leftover pomegranate and ginger pulp can be frozen and used in smoothies or as a base for fruit leather to avoid waste.
