Ingredients
- 2 Wheat tortillas (wraps) (Large size)
- 4 tbsp Tomato sauce (Tomato sauce)
- Dried oregano (To taste)
- 4 lonchas Havarti cheese (Or any cheese that melts well)
- 4 lonchas Cooked ham (Cooked ham)
- 100 g Grated cheese (Preferably a 4-cheese blend)
Steps
- 1
Spread a wheat tortilla (wrap) on a flat surface and spread a layer of tomato sauce.
- 2
Sprinkle dried oregano over the tomato sauce to taste.
- 3
Place the Havarti cheese slices covering the surface and add the cooked ham slices on top.
- 4
Slightly fold the side edges of the tortilla inwards so the filling doesn't spill out and roll the tortilla up firmly.
- 5
Cut the resulting roll into slices approximately 2 centimeters thick.
- 6
Repeat the process with the second tortilla and place all the pieces in a pan, covering the entire base.
- 7
Cover generously with the grated cheese over all the rolls.
- 8
Cover the pan and cook over medium heat until the cheese has completely melted and the base is lightly browned.
Notes
This is an ideal recipe for using up whatever you have in the fridge. You can substitute the cooked ham for turkey or the Havarti cheese for mozzarella or gouda.
