Ingredients
- 25 g butter
- 20 g wheat flour
- 250 ml milk (add gradually)
- 200 g cheddar cheese (shredded or in small pieces for melting)
- salt (a pinch)
- 0.5 tbsp sweet paprika
Steps

Melt 25 g of butter in a pan over medium heat.

Add 20 g of flour and mix well with the butter until there are no lumps.

Add 250 ml of milk gradually to avoid forming lumps.

Stir vigorously to combine all ingredients and form a béchamel sauce.

Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and reaches a creamy consistency.

Now add 200 g of cheddar cheese to the mixture.

Stir constantly until the cheese is completely melted and incorporated into the sauce.

Add a pinch of salt and half a tablespoon of sweet paprika.

Notes
For a thinner texture, you can add an extra splash of milk at the end. Sweet paprika gives it the characteristic orange color of movie theater cheese sauces.
