- 0.5 tsp chicken bouillon powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- 2 eggs (For the egg wash.)
- 0.5 cup milk (For the egg wash.)
- 2 cups breadcrumbs (For coating the rolls.)
- 1 tsp dried parsley (Mix with the breadcrumbs.)
- 15 bread slices (Cut off the corners.)
- Chosen Foods avocado oil (For deep frying; amount not specified.)
- Chosen Foods ranch dressing (For serving; amount not specified.)
Steps
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mashed potatoes, diced bell peppers, red onion, green onion, jalapeño if using, carrots, and shredded mozzarella.
- 2
Add the salt, black pepper, chicken bouillon powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, red chili powder, and red chili flakes. Mix thoroughly until the filling is evenly combined, then set it aside.
- 3
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk to make the egg wash.
- 4
In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the dried parsley.
- 5
Using a rolling pin, gently flatten each bread slice and cut off the corners.
- 6
Place 2–3 tablespoons of filling on one side of each flattened bread slice. Roll it tightly and seal the other side with egg wash.
- 7
Dip each roll into the egg wash, coating it evenly and completely. Roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently so the crumbs adhere well, including along the edges.
- 8
Heat the avocado oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the rolls in batches for about 3–4 minutes, turning as needed, until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- 9
Serve the rolls hot with ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
Notes
The source does not specify the exact amount of oil, frying temperature, or the amount of ranch dressing. Fry in batches as stated so the rolls can brown evenly.
