Ingredients

  • 6 oz chicken (sliced for soy garlic chicken)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 shallots (diced)
  • 2 green onions (white parts only)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1.5 tbsp miso paste
  • 2 cup chicken stock
  • 1 serving ramen noodles (fresh or dried)
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

Steps

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken with 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp paprika, and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Mix well to coat.

  2. 2

Heat a small amount of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

  3. 3

In the same pan, add the diced shallots, the white parts of the green onions, 1 tbsp minced ginger, and 3 cloves of minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.

  4. 4

Add the miso paste to the aromatics and stir briefly to incorporate.

  5. 5

Pour in the chicken stock and bring the mixture to a simmer.

  6. 6

Add the ramen noodles to the broth and cook according to the package instructions until tender.

  7. 7

Transfer the noodles and broth to a serving bowl. Top with the cooked soy garlic chicken and serve immediately.

Notes

The creator suggests this is a 20-minute meal. For a creamier texture, you can whisk the miso with a little warm stock before adding it to the pan to ensure it dissolves smoothly.
