- 1 tsp Black pepper (For the filling)
- 1 cup Mixed bell peppers (Diced)
- 1 Red onion (Diced)
- 1 tsp Garlic paste
- 2 tbsp Oil (Plus more for cooking the chicken mixture)
- 0.5 cup Mayonnaise (For the sauce)
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder (For the sauce)
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika (For the sauce)
- 2 tbsp Hot sauce (Adjust to taste)
- 18 Slider buns
- 8 slices Monterey Jack pepper cheese (For assembly)
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese (For assembly)
- 3 tbsp Butter (Melted, for glazing the top buns)
- 1 tbsp Fresh parsley (Freshly chopped; for the glaze)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2
Place the cubed chicken, diced bell peppers, diced red onion, garlic paste, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and red chili powder in a mixing bowl. Mix well so the seasonings and vegetables are evenly distributed.
- 3
Add the 2 tablespoons of oil to the chicken mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.
- 4
Heat additional oil for cooking in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- 5
Once the oil is hot, add the chicken mixture to the skillet. Cook for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- 6
In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and hot sauce. Mix until the sauce is smooth. Adjust the sauce ingredients to taste if desired.
- 7
To assemble, spread the sauce over the bottom halves of the slider buns.
- 8
Place the Monterey Jack pepper cheese slices over the sauced bottom buns.
- 9
Add a layer of the cooked chicken mixture over the cheese.
- 10
Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the chicken, then place the top bun halves over the filling.
- 11
Melt the butter, then brush or glaze it over the tops of the buns. Sprinkle the freshly chopped parsley over the buttered buns.
- 12
Cover the tray from the top with foil or parchment paper. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Notes
The sauce can be customized by adjusting its ingredients. Use leftover chicken mixture to make additional sliders or freeze it for later use. Different cheeses or diced vegetables may be used for variation. The source does not specify an exact amount of additional cooking oil or a target internal temperature for the chicken.
