Ingredients

  • 8 g Pasta of choice (Source states approximately 7.5–8.5 g; this unusually small quantity is preserved as approximately 8 g.)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder (For Alfredo sauce)
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder (For Alfredo sauce)
  • 1.5 tsp Italian seasoning (For Alfredo sauce)
  • 113 g Unsalted butter (For Alfredo sauce)
  • 1 tsp Salt (For Alfredo sauce; add more or less to taste)
  • Black pepper (Fresh cracked, for Alfredo sauce)
  • 1.5 tbsp Fresh parsley (Chopped; source gives 1–2 tbsp (4–8 g), for garnish and finishing)
  • 2 cups Heavy cream (For Alfredo sauce)
  • 1 Lemon (Zested and juiced; add more or less lemon juice to taste. Lemon wedges are used for serving.)
  • 1 cup Reserved pasta water (Reserve while cooking the pasta; add to sauce if it becomes too thick)
  • 1.5 tbsp All-purpose flour (For thickening the Alfredo sauce)
  • 3 Garlic (Cloves, minced; for Alfredo sauce)
  • 1.5 cups Parmesan cheese (Freshly grated; source gives 135–150 g. Reserve extra for topping if desired.)
  • 1 lb Raw shrimp (Medium-sized, peeled and deveined)
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika (For seasoning shrimp)
  • 0.5 tsp Onion powder (For seasoning shrimp)
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder (For seasoning shrimp)
  • Salt (A pinch, for seasoning shrimp)
  • Black pepper (Fresh cracked, for seasoning shrimp)
  • 1 tsp Olive oil (For seasoning shrimp)
  • 1 tsp Olive oil (For cooking shrimp)
  • 49 g Unsalted butter (For cooking shrimp; source gives 3–4 tbsp (42–56 g))

Steps

  1. 1

Cook the pasta in salted water, reserving 1 cup of the pasta water. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

  2. 2

Season the shrimp with the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, a pinch of salt, and fresh cracked black pepper. Rub with the olive oil designated for seasoning.

  3. 3

Heat the cooking olive oil and shrimp-cooking butter in a large pan over medium heat.

  4. 4

Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring, until just cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan, leaving the drippings in the pan.

  5. 5

Add the 1/2 cup of Alfredo butter to the same pan over medium-low heat. Melt it while scraping up the browned bits from the bottom.

  6. 6

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes.

  7. 7

Add the flour and stir to prevent lumps.

  8. 8

Add the heavy cream, Alfredo garlic powder, Alfredo onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and fresh cracked black pepper. Increase the heat to medium and stir.

  9. 9

Stir in the juice and zest of the lemon.

  10. 10

Reduce the heat to medium-low and whisk in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

  11. 11

Simmer the sauce on low. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce becomes too thick.

  12. 12

Add the drained pasta and cooked shrimp back to the pan, tossing them through the Alfredo sauce.

  13. 13

Top with extra Parmesan, chopped parsley, lemon zest, and lemon wedges, then serve.

Notes

The source lists the pasta quantity as approximately 7.5–8.5 g, which may be a typographical error; it is preserved as written rather than reconstructed. The source does not specify a pasta type, exact sauce simmer duration, or a precise amount of extra Parmesan and lemon zest for topping.
