Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 3.5 cup beef broth (A little extra may be added halfway through cooking if the noodles seem to need it.)
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 0.5 cup sour cream (Use to taste; source gives a range of 1/2–1 cup.)
- parsley (Fresh or dried, for topping.)
Steps
- 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2
Add the ground beef and chopped onion to the skillet. Season with the salt, black pepper, dry mustard, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- 3
Cook until the beef is cooked through, then drain off any excess grease.
- 4
Add the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Stir everything together well.
- 5
Add the butter. Once it has melted, add the flour and stir to combine. Cook for at least 1 minute.
- 6
Add the beef broth and egg noodles, then stir well to combine.
- 7
Bring the skillet to a quick boil, then lower the heat to medium or medium-low. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through. If the noodles seem to need more liquid, add a little extra beef broth when stirring halfway through.
- 8
Stir in sour cream to taste.
- 9
Top with fresh or dried parsley and serve.
Notes
The source gives sour cream as 1/2–1 cup and says to add it to taste; extra beef broth is optional if the noodles need more liquid. Ground beef is specified in the written recipe; the spoken transcript mentions turkey or a joking alternative but provides no quantity or method changes.
