Ingredients
- 2 cup fresh cream
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 100 g paneer
- 3 cheese cubes
- 0.25 cup sugar (The on-screen text specifies caster sugar or sugar powder.)
- vanilla extract (Amount not shown.)
- whipped cream (Amount not shown; add and mix with the prepared cream mixture.)
- black coffee or espresso (Amount not shown; used for soaking the biscuits.)
- ladyfinger biscuits (Amount not shown. Toast biscuits or plain vanilla sponge cake may be used instead.)
- cocoa powder (For dusting; amount not shown.)
Steps
- 1
Heat the fresh cream, taking care not to boil it.
- 2
Add the lime juice to the heated cream and allow the cream to curdle.
- 3
Pour the curdled cream onto a cheesecloth. Refrigerate it for 2–3 hours so the liquid drains and the mascarpone cheese is ready.
- 4
For the cream-cheese mixture, combine the paneer and three cheese cubes with the sugar and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and fine.
- 5
Add the whipped cream to the blended mixture and mix.
- 6
Prepare black coffee or espresso for the biscuit layer.
- 7
Dip the ladyfinger biscuits in the coffee or espresso. Toast biscuits or plain vanilla sponge cake may be used instead of ladyfingers.
- 8
Layer the coffee-soaked biscuits and the prepared cream mixture in a serving dish.
- 9
Dust the top with cocoa powder and caster sugar or sugar powder.
- 10
Refrigerate the assembled tiramisu for 3–4 hours before serving.
