Ingredients
- 14 tbsp Apple cider vinegar (Raw, unfiltered with 'the mother'; 2 tablespoons per serving)
- 7 tbsp Lemon juice (Preferably fresh; 1 tablespoon per serving)
- 1.75 tsp Ground cinnamon (About 1/4 teaspoon per serving)
- 56 oz Water (Filtered; about 8 oz per serving)
- Cayenne pepper (A pinch per serving, add just before drinking)
- 7 tsp Maple syrup or honey (Optional for taste; 1 teaspoon per serving, add just before drinking)
Steps
- 1
Prepare 7 small clean glass jars or airtight containers for the week.
- 2
In each jar, pour 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.
- 3
Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and a pinch of cinnamon to each container.
- 4
Fill the rest of each jar with filtered water (about 200-250 ml).
- 5
Seal the jars and store them in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
- 6
When ready to consume, shake the jar well to mix the cinnamon and vinegar that may have settled.
- 7
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper and a bit of natural sweetener (maple syrup or honey) to taste just before drinking to maintain freshness and control the spiciness.
Notes
The author recommends adding the cayenne pepper and sweetener at the last moment so the drink doesn't become too spicy and remains fresh. Shake well before drinking as cinnamon tends to settle at the bottom.
