Ingredients
- 100 g oat flakes (oat flakes)
- 30 g puffed cereals (puffed cereals like spelt or rice)
- 40 g mixed nuts (mixed nuts of choice, chopped)
- 100 g fruit puree (1 blended apple or pear, or 1 mashed banana)
- 2 tbsp almond butter (almond butter or other nut butter)
- 1 tbsp honey (honey)
- flavoring of choice (vanilla, cinnamon, or bitter cocoa to taste)
- additional ingredients (chocolate chips, raisins, or coconut chips to be added after cooking)
Steps
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oat flakes, puffed cereals, and chopped nuts.
- 2
Add your chosen flavorings (vanilla, cinnamon, or cocoa) and the fruit puree, almond butter, and honey.
- 3
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until you obtain a sticky, uniform mixture.
- 4
Transfer the mixture into the air fryer basket and press it down firmly with the back of a spoon to create a flat layer.
- 5
Cook in the air fryer at 170°C (340°F) for 15 minutes. Stir the mixture only once halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
- 6
Once cooked, remove the basket and let the granola cool completely. This is essential for it to become crunchy.
- 7
Once cold, break the granola into large chunks with your hands.
- 8
Stir in your additional ingredients like chocolate chips, raisins, or coconut chips.
Notes
Oven Alternative: Bake at 180°C (355°F) for 20 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Storage: Store in a glass jar for up to 2 weeks. The fruit puree acts as a natural sweetener and binder.
