Ingredients
- 400 g Fresh mushrooms (Slice or cut into small pieces; white mushrooms, button mushrooms, or other edible mushrooms may be used)
- 1 Onion (Peel and cut into chunks)
- 30 g Unsalted butter (For sautéing the ingredients)
- 500 ml Stock or water (Vegetable stock or chicken stock may be used)
- 300 ml Milk (Use whole or low-fat milk according to preference)
- Salt (Adjust to taste)
- Black pepper (Adjust to taste; freshly ground is preferred)
Steps
- 1
Clean the mushrooms thoroughly and slice or cut them into small pieces. Peel and chop the onion.
- 2
Melt the unsalted butter in a pot over medium heat.
- 3
Add the onion and sauté for about 3 to 5 minutes, until softened and fragrant.
- 4
Add the mushrooms and continue sautéing for about 5 to 8 minutes, until softened and slightly releasing liquid.
- 5
Pour in the stock or water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the mushrooms to cook through.
- 6
Allow the cooked mushroom soup to cool slightly, then transfer it to a high-speed blender in batches. Secure the lid tightly and use the soup or high-speed blending function until completely smooth. If the blender has a heating and soup-cooking function, you may operate it directly according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 7
Pour the blended soup back into the pot and add the milk. Heat gently over low heat until warm. Do not boil vigorously for an extended period, as the milk may overflow or develop a scorched flavor.
- 8
Season with salt and black pepper. Stir well, then ladle into bowls and serve.
Notes
The source title only indicates that mushroom cream soup is made using a high-speed blender; it does not provide an identifiable complete recipe, quantities, or instructions. The recipe above is a reference version reconstructed from the dish name and common preparation methods. When blending hot liquids in a high-speed blender, always follow the appliance manufacturer's instructions to avoid burns caused by steam pressure in a sealed container. Some of the milk may be replaced with heavy cream for a richer flavor, and a small amount of sautéed mushrooms may be reserved as a garnish.
