Ingredients

  • 2 bananas (Sliced lengthways)
  • 20 g butter
  • 40 g honey (Use 40–50 g depending on desired sweetness)
  • cinnamon (A sprinkle)
  • 120 g Greek yogurt
  • 200 ml whole milk (Plus a splash of warm milk for soaking saffron, if using)
  • saffron strands (Optional; soak in a splash of warm milk)
  • ice (For serving)

Steps

  1. 1

Warm the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the honey, then sprinkle in the cinnamon.

  2. 2

Place the bananas cut-side down in the pan. Fry for 5–7 minutes, then flip and fry for another 3 minutes, until the bananas are golden brown and sticky.

  3. 3

Transfer the caramelised bananas to a blender and let them cool for 1 minute.

  4. 4

Add the Greek yogurt and whole milk to the blender. If using saffron, add the saffron along with its soaking milk. Blend until smooth.

  5. 5

Pour the lassi over ice and serve.
