Flip the bread slices over and distribute the mayonnaise-mustard mixture among them.
- 8
Distribute 4 slices of cheddar among 4 slices of bread.
- 9
Layer the turkey over the cheddar, followed by the pickled apple.
- 10
Top with the remaining 4 slices of cheddar and the remaining 4 slices of bread, mayonnaise side up.
- 11
Transfer the sandwiches to a rimmed baking sheet.
- 12
Bake until the cheddar is melted, about 15 minutes, flipping the sandwiches halfway through baking.
