Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic (Minced)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • fresh parsley (Chopped)
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese (Freshly grated)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.25 cup reserved pasta water (Starchy water reserved from cooking the pasta)

Steps

  1. 1

Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente. Before draining, reserve 1/2 cup of the starchy pasta water.

  2. 2

Heat a pan, then add the olive oil.

  3. 3

Add the minced garlic to the hot pan and brown it until golden and fragrant.

  4. 4

Add the butter to the browned garlic and let it melt until slightly nutty.

  5. 5

Add the cooked pasta to the pan and mix until it is fully coated with the garlic butter.

  6. 6

Add the reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce and create a silky coating.

  7. 7

Grate the Parmesan over the pasta and toss until it melts into a creamy coating.

  8. 8

Top with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

The title calls this roasted garlic pasta, but the provided directions describe browning the minced garlic in olive oil rather than roasting it. The source does not specify the pasta shape, water amount for boiling, or exact amount of parsley.
