Steps

  1. Section your chicken wings by cutting them in half at the joint.

  2. Season the chicken wings directly with Portuguese chicken spice, garlic salt, paprika, and Six Gun spice. Ensure the wings are evenly coated in the seasoning.

  3. In a bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, and panko breadcrumbs to create the dry coating mixture.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk (or water) to create the wet mix.

  5. Dip each seasoned wing into the egg mixture, then into the flour and breadcrumb mixture. Press the flour into the chicken properly to ensure a thick, crispy coating.

  6. Heat deep frying oil in a pot or deep fryer until very hot. Fry the wings until they develop a beautiful golden-brown crust and are cooked through.

  7. While the wings are frying, prepare the dunk sauce. In a saucepan, combine the Coca-Cola, soy sauce, tomato sauce, honey, and hot sauce.

  8. Simmer the sauce over medium heat until it thickens into a glossy, sticky consistency.

  9. Toss the hot, crispy wings into the thickened sauce and coat them thoroughly.

  10. Prepare the dipping sauce by mixing the ranch sauce with cream cheese until smooth and rich.

  11. Serve the dunked wings immediately with the ranch and cream cheese dip.

Notes

If you don't have panko breadcrumbs, you can use crushed cornflakes or skip them. If you don't have cornstarch, baking powder can be used in the flour mix. For the dip, if you lack ranch and cream cheese, you can substitute with a mixture of mayonnaise and amasi.
