Ingredients
- 6 Very ripe bananas (Peeled; use bananas that are very soft and sweet.)
- 250 g Semisweet chocolate (Melted before adding to the banana mixture.)
- Semisweet chocolate for coating the cups and sealing the popsicles (Melted; the source does not specify an amount. Approximately 100 g is estimated for six small plastic cups.)
- 6 Small plastic cups (Use freezer-safe cups suitable for molding popsicles.)
- 6 Popsicle sticks (One stick for each popsicle.)
Steps
- 1
Melt the coating chocolate gently using your preferred method, such as a microwave in short intervals, stirring between intervals, or a double boiler. Do not let water contact the chocolate.
- 2
Add enough melted chocolate to coat the inside of each plastic cup. Rotate and tilt the cups so the chocolate reaches the bottom and covers the sides evenly.
- 3
Place the coated cups upside down on a rack or tray so excess chocolate can drain. Refrigerate until the chocolate is completely firm, about 15–20 minutes.
- 4
Repeat the coating process once more, adding a second layer of melted chocolate to reinforce the shells. Return the cups upside down to the refrigerator until the second layer is firm.
- 5
Peel the bananas and place all six very ripe bananas in a blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, with no visible pieces remaining.
- 6
Add the 250 g of melted semisweet chocolate to the blended bananas. Blend again until the mixture is uniform, glossy, and fully combined.
- 7
Remove the chocolate-coated cups from the refrigerator. Divide the banana-and-chocolate mixture evenly among the cups, leaving a little room at the top.
- 8
Insert one popsicle stick into the center of each filled cup. Add more melted chocolate over the top of each cup to seal the popsicle and cover the filling completely.
- 9
Place the cups in the freezer and freeze until the popsicles are completely firm, approximately 3–4 hours or overnight.
- 10
When frozen solid, briefly warm the outside of each plastic cup with your hands or dip it very briefly in warm water. Carefully unmold the popsicles and serve immediately.
Notes
The post describes the recipe as using only two food ingredients and requiring no cooking, condensed milk, or cream. The amount of chocolate used for coating the cups is not specified and will vary with cup size and coating thickness. If using disposable plastic cups, choose cups that tolerate freezing and remove them carefully when unmolding.
