Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 0.5 large green cabbage (chopped)
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced into strips)
- 1 yellow bell pepper (sliced into strips)
- 3 green onions (sliced; half will be used during cooking and the rest for finishing)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1.5 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp ponzu sauce
- 2 tbsp chili oil (plus more for finishing)
- salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for finishing)
Steps
- 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2
Add the ground beef and cook until browned and cooked through.
- 3
Season the beef with the garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Add the red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper. Cook for 3–4 minutes, until they begin to soften.
- 5
Add the chopped green cabbage and cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender but still slightly crisp.
- 6
Add the coconut aminos, ponzu sauce, and 2 tbsp of chili oil. Mix all the ingredients well and cook for 2–3 more minutes so they absorb the flavors.
- 7
Add half of the sliced green onions and stir to distribute.
- 8
Finish with the remaining green onions, sesame seeds, and an additional drizzle of chili oil.
- 9
Serve hot.
