Ingredients
- 180 g 5% cottage cheese in a block (1 package)
- 1 Egg yolk
- 20 g Sugar (The author notes that she does not like very sweet syrniki)
- 15 g Rice flour (The author uses rice flour)
- 10 g Poppy seeds (Optional; the author likes them very much)
- Oil for frying (A drop of oil)
Steps
- 1
Place the cottage cheese, egg yolk, sugar, rice flour, and, if desired, poppy seeds in a bowl.
- 2
Mix all the ingredients well until smooth and paste-like.
- 3
Shape the syrniki. Each syrnik should contain approximately 37–40 g of the cottage cheese mixture.
- 4
Heat a frying pan over low heat and add a drop of oil.
- 5
Fry the syrniki on one side for 3 minutes over low heat.
- 6
Turn the syrniki over and fry the other side for another 3 minutes over low heat.
- 7
Serve the finished syrniki.
Notes
The approximate number of syrniki is calculated based on the specified weight of one syrnik; the exact yield depends on the size of the shaped pieces. The source does not specify the desired internal doneness or color of the fried syrniki.
