Ingredients
- 2 oz Gin
- 0.75 oz Elderflower Liqueur (such as St-Germain)
- 0.5 oz Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 oz Butterfly Pea Flower Tea (brewed and cooled)
- 0.25 oz Honey Syrup (equal parts honey and water)
- Edible Gold Flakes (for garnish)
- Dried Rose Petals (for garnish)
Steps
- 1
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- 2
Add 2 oz of gin, 0.75 oz of elderflower liqueur, 0.5 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 0.25 oz of honey syrup to the shaker.
- 3
Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is well-chilled.
- 4
Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
- 5
Gently pour 1 oz of butterfly pea flower tea over the back of a spoon to layer it or stir slightly to create a color-changing effect from the acidity of the lemon.
- 6
Garnish with a pinch of edible gold flakes and dried rose petals to represent the majesty of Hera.
Notes
The butterfly pea flower tea reacts with the lemon juice to change from deep blue to a royal purple. To make honey syrup, combine equal parts hot water and honey, stirring until dissolved.
