Ingredients

  • 2 Onion (Sliced; to cover the bottom of the pot)
  • 1.5 kg Beef (Cut into medium-sized pieces)
  • 3 Garlic (Crushed)
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil (Estimated amount; use a generous drizzle)
  • 2 Onion (Sliced; to form a generous layer over the meat)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro (Chopped; estimated amount for finishing the dish)
  • 2 tbsp Chives (Chopped; estimated amount for finishing the dish)

Steps

  1. 1

Place the sliced onions in the bottom of a pressure cooker, forming an even layer.

  2. 2

Add the beef cut into medium-sized pieces on top of the onions.

  3. 3

Add the crushed garlic, black pepper, paprika, salt, and oregano. Drizzle the olive oil over the meat.

  4. 4

Mix the meat well with the seasonings and oil so that all the pieces are coated.

  5. 5

Place another generous layer of sliced onions over the meat. Do not add water: the onions will release enough liquid during cooking.

  6. 6

Close the pressure cooker according to the manufacturer's instructions. Cook for 35 minutes from the moment the cooker reaches pressure.

  7. 7

Release the pressure safely before opening the cooker. Check that the meat is very tender and that it has formed plenty of juices with the onions.

  8. 8

Add the chopped cilantro and chives. Mix carefully so that the onions and juices coat all the meat.

  9. 9

Serve the meat hot, accompanied by its onions and juices.

Notes

Do not add water; this is the key point of the recipe. Release the pressure according to your cooker's instructions and serve immediately to enjoy the tender, juicy meat.
