Ingredients
- 700 g Medium-fat ground meat (700–800 g)
- 1 Onion (Grated)
- 2 diş Garlic
- 1 çay bardağı Breadcrumbs (If the mixture is too wet, an additional 3–4 tbsp can be added.)
- 1 çay bardağı Sparkling water
- 2 tatlı kaşığı Baking powder
- 1 tatlı kaşığı Red pepper flakes
- 1 dolu tatlı kaşığı Ground red pepper
- 1 çay kaşığı Black pepper
- 0.5 çay kaşığı Ground cumin
- 1 dolu tatlı kaşığı Salt
- Vegetable oil (For lightly greasing your hands while shaping the meatballs)
Steps
- 1
Place the ground meat, grated onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, sparkling water, baking powder, red pepper flakes, ground red pepper, black pepper, cumin, and salt in a large bowl.
- 2
Knead all the ingredients thoroughly in the bowl. Kneading well is important; if the mixture is not kneaded sufficiently, the meatballs may fall apart during cooking.
- 3
Rest the meatball mixture for at least 30 minutes. If you have time, rest it for 1–2 hours; this enhances the flavor of the meatballs.
- 4
Take portions of the rested mixture. Lightly grease your hands with vegetable oil and shape the mixture into meatballs.
- 5
Arrange the shaped meatballs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- 6
Preheat the oven to 180°C and place the tray in the oven.
- 7
Bake the meatballs at 180°C until nicely browned on top. The source does not specify an exact cooking time.
- 8
Serve the meatballs hot.
Notes
The source does not specify an exact baking time; check the meatballs and bake them until nicely browned on top. If the mixture is too wet, add 3–4 tbsp of breadcrumbs.
