- 1 tbsp garlic powder (For the chicken patty)
- 1 tbsp onion powder (For the chicken patty)
- oil for frying (Amount as needed)
- 8 tbsp all-purpose flour (Divide between two dishes, around 4 tbsp each)
- salt and pepper (For the coating; to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (For the coating)
- 1 tsp onion powder (For the coating)
- 0.333 cup water (Add as needed to make a thick batter)
- 1 cup mayonnaise (For the sauce)
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard (For the sauce)
- salt and pepper (For the sauce; to taste)
- 0.5 tsp white vinegar (For the sauce)
- brioche buns (As needed for assembly)
- lettuce, diced (As needed for assembly)
Steps
- 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the minced chicken breast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly until evenly seasoned and combined.
- 2
Lightly grease your hands with a little frying oil. Shape the chicken mixture into round patties.
- 3
Place the patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes, or until ready to use.
- 4
Prepare two dishes. Divide the all-purpose flour between them, using approximately 4 tablespoons in each dish.
- 5
Season one dish of flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 6
Add the water to the seasoned flour and mix to form a thick batter. Adjust the water as needed to reach the stated thick consistency.
- 7
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat until hot.
- 8
Coat each frozen chicken patty in the plain flour mixture, then dip it into the wet batter.
- 9
Carefully place the coated patties into the hot oil. Fry over medium-low heat for 10–15 minutes, until fully cooked and crispy golden brown.
- 10
In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and white vinegar to make the sauce.
- 11
Assemble each sandwich by spreading sauce on a brioche bun, adding a crispy chicken patty and diced lettuce, then adding more sauce.
- 12
Serve the sandwiches with fries and enjoy.
