Ingredients

  • 2 pears (halved lengthwise; remove stems and middle seeds)
  • 1 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 0.125 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop yoghurt (for serving; scoop size not specified)
  • 1 small handful pecans (chopped; for serving)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. 2

Halve the pears and remove the middle seeds and stems. Arrange the pear halves flesh-side up on the prepared tray.

  3. 3

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, light brown sugar, and vanilla extract until completely emulsified.

  4. 4

Spoon the cinnamon-butter mixture over the pears, coating them. Turn the pears flesh-side down and brush some of the mixture over the tops.

  5. 5

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pears are soft and starting to caramelise.

  6. 6

Serve in bowls with a scoop of yoghurt, chopped pecans, and some of the leftover sweet cinnamon butter.

Notes

The transcript describes the yoghurt as cold. The source does not specify pear variety, yoghurt type, scoop size, or the weight of the small handful of pecans.
