Emerald Dragon Cocktail

Emerald Dragon Cocktail

Imported by Athanasia Nguyen on SeeMeCook

A sweet, vividly emerald-green cocktail made with vodka, black raspberry liqueur, and blue curaçao. Also known as a Black Martini, it is shaken thoroughly with ice to chill the drink and incorporate enough meltwater to soften its strength.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Vodka (Use a brand of your choice.)
  • 1 oz Chambord black raspberry liqueur (The author used Chambord; other brands may be used, though the color may vary slightly.)
  • 0.5 oz Blue curaçao liqueur
  • Ice (For shaking.)

Steps

  1. 1

Combine the vodka, black raspberry liqueur, and blue curaçao in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

  2. 2

Shake thoroughly to blend and chill the cocktail, allowing sufficient ice melt to soften the drink's strong, sweet character.

  3. 3

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and serve immediately.

Notes

The cocktail is rather sweet and entirely alcohol-based. For a less sweet variation, the author sampled it with approximately 1/4 ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice. It may also be served on the rocks with a squeeze of lime, a splash of club soda, and a lime twist garnish. These variations are not included in the core ingredient list.
