  • 0.5 cup Pickled cucumbers (For assembly)
  • 1 cup Lettuce (Chopped, for assembly)
  • 1 Tomato (Sliced, for assembly)

Steps

  1. 1

Place the thinly sliced chicken in a bowl. Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin powder, olive oil, and the red pepper paste. If using the alternative, add tomato paste and red chili flakes instead.

  2. 2

Add the thinly sliced white onion and freshly minced garlic to the seasoned chicken. Mix thoroughly so the chicken and aromatics are evenly coated, then marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken mixture and cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through.

  4. 4

For the creamy white sauce, combine the yogurt, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, salt, finely minced garlic, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix until smooth.

  5. 5

Refrigerate the creamy white sauce until ready to use.

  6. 6

For the sumac onions, combine the thinly sliced red onion, salt, minced parsley, sumac, and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a bowl. Mix until the onion is evenly coated.

  7. 7

Place a large thin pita bread on a work surface. Add lettuce, cooked chicken, sliced tomato, pickled cucumbers, sumac onions, and the creamy garlic sauce.

  8. 8

Fold the pita into a wrap. Warm the assembled wrap on a skillet over medium-low heat for 1–2 minutes.

  9. 9

Serve the chicken wraps with fries and enjoy.
