Ingredients
- 500 g Apples (Peeled and chopped; the author used 4 Granny Smith apples)
- 30 g Powdered gelatine
- Water (A small amount, for cooking the apples; drain any excess liquid)
- 20 g Honey (Optional; the author does not think it is necessary)
Steps
- 1
Peel and chop the apples. Place them in a saucepan with a small amount of water and cook for about 15 minutes, until completely soft.
- 2
Drain off any excess cooking liquid so the apple mixture is not watery.
- 3
Blend or mash the cooked apples until completely smooth.
- 4
If using it, stir the optional honey into the warm apple purée.
- 5
While the apple purée is still warm, stir in the powdered gelatine until it has dissolved completely.
- 6
Using a hand mixer, whip the apple-and-gelatine mixture until it becomes thick, fluffy, and pale in color.
- 7
Pour the whipped mixture into a lined container.
- 8
Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until set.
- 9
Slice the set mixture into 9 large pieces and serve.
