Ingredients

  • 8 bread slices (Use 8–10 slices; cut off the edges before filling.)
  • 2 lb boneless chicken thighs
  • salt (To taste.)
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (The method says “gather powder”; this is interpreted as garlic powder from the ingredient list.)
  • 1 tbsp fresh garlic (Minced.)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 8 cheese slices (Use 8–10 slices.)
  • 2 tbsp oil (For sautéing the garlic and chicken; additional hot oil for frying is mentioned but no quantity is provided.)
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cream
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour (For the sealing slurry.)
  • 4 tbsp water (For the sealing slurry.)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (For coating.)
  • 2 eggs (For the coating mixture.)
  • 3 tbsp milk (Whisk with the eggs.)

Steps

  1. 1

Heat the 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  2. 2

Add the minced fresh garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

  3. 3

Add the boneless chicken thighs. Season with salt, black pepper, red chili flakes, Cajun seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder.

  4. 4

Mix the chicken and seasonings, then cook for 8–10 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.

  5. 5

Add the unsweetened cream, mix, and cook for 3–5 more minutes.

  6. 6

Remove the chicken mixture from the heat and set it aside.

  7. 7

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water to make a thick slurry for sealing the bread.

  8. 8

Cut the edges off the bread slices.

  9. 9

Brush the flour slurry around the edges of a bread slice.

  10. 10

Place one cheese slice and some of the chicken filling on the bread. Top with mozzarella cheese.

  11. 11

Cover the filling with the bread and seal the edges tightly. Repeat with the remaining bread, cheese slices, chicken, and mozzarella.

  12. 12

In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk and set the mixture aside.

  13. 13

Place the breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.

  14. 14

Coat each sealed samosa in the egg mixture, then coat it thoroughly with breadcrumbs.

  15. 15

At this point, freeze the coated samosas for later use, or fry them in hot oil for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

The source does not specify the quantity of oil for frying, the frying temperature, or whether frozen samosas should be thawed before frying. The method says to cook the chicken until fully cooked; use appropriate food-safety practices. The source lists 8–10 bread slices and cheese slices, so the yield is approximately 8–10 samosas.
