Ingredients
- 3 Russet potatoes (Peeled and cut into small pieces)
- Salt (To taste; use in the boiling water and potato mixture)
- Black pepper (To taste)
- 0.5 cup Mozzarella cheese (Cut into small cubes or small pieces for stuffing)
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp Fresh coriander (Minced; additional chopped coriander is used as a garnish without a specified quantity)
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- Oil (For frying)
- Fresh coriander (Chopped, for garnish)
- Dipping sauce (Favorite dipping sauce, for serving)
Steps
- 1
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces.
- 2
Boil the potato pieces in salted water until fully cooked.
- 3
Mash the cooked potatoes.
- 4
Mix the mashed potatoes with salt, black pepper, cornstarch, minced coriander, and garlic powder until evenly combined.
- 5
Take small portions of the potato mixture and form them into balls, stuffing a small piece of mozzarella into the center of each ball.
- 6
Seal each ball completely, making sure there are no cracks so the cheese remains enclosed during frying.
- 7
Add frying oil to a pan and heat it over medium heat until hot.
- 8
Add the potato balls to the hot oil in batches, frying 5–6 balls at a time so the pan is not overcrowded.
- 9
Fry the potato balls for 2–3 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- 10
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
The source does not specify the amount of boiling water, frying oil, garnish, or dipping sauce. Keep the potato balls fully sealed to help prevent mozzarella from escaping during frying.
