Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, 80% lean and 20% fat
  • 8 mini taco shells (Use 8-10 shells.)
  • 10 cheddar cheese slices
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup pickles
  • salt (To taste; some is sprinkled over the ground beef.)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • 3 tbsp ketchup (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • 2 tbsp yellow onion, diced (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • 1 tbsp relish, chopped (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (For the Big Mac sauce.)
  • salt (For the Big Mac sauce, to taste.)
  • oil (A small amount, for heating the skillet.)

Steps

  1. 1

Prepare the Big Mac sauce by combining the mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, diced yellow onion, salt, chopped relish, white vinegar, garlic powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika in a bowl.

  2. 2

Mix the sauce ingredients until well combined. Refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  3. 3

Heat a skillet over high heat and add a small amount of oil.

  4. 4

Place 2-3 tablespoons of ground beef in the center of each mini taco shell. Gently press the beef onto the shells to create an even layer.

  5. 5

Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the ground beef on each taco.

  6. 6

Place the tacos meat-side down in the hot skillet and immediately lower the heat to medium-low. If the skillet is large enough, cook two tacos at a time.

  7. 7

Cook the tacos for 4-5 minutes, or until the ground beef is cooked through.

  8. 8

Flip the tacos and cook the other side until it is crispy and golden.

  9. 9

Top each taco with a slice of cheddar cheese, chopped lettuce, and pickles.

  10. 10

Drizzle the chilled Big Mac sauce over each taco.

  11. 11

Serve the Big Mac tacos immediately.
