- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder (For the chicken)
- 2 cups panko bread crumbs (For coating)
- 0.25 cup sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp dried parsley (For the bread crumb mixture)
- 2 tbsp butter (For the Alfredo sauce)
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour (For the Alfredo sauce)
- 2 cloves fresh garlic (Minced; for the Alfredo sauce)
- 1 cup unsweetened heavy whipping cream
- salt (For the Alfredo sauce, to taste)
- 0.5 tsp black pepper (For the Alfredo sauce)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (For the Alfredo sauce)
- 0.5 cup milk
- 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese (Freshly grated; for the Alfredo sauce)
- neutral oil (For frying; use enough to fill the pan to a depth of 2 inches)
- Parmesan cheese (For topping)
- parsley (For topping)
Steps
- 1
Cut the chicken breast into long strips.
- 2
Place the chicken strips in a bowl. Add the eggs, hot sauce, grated fresh garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika powder, and garlic powder. Mix well so the chicken is evenly coated, then let it sit for 15–20 minutes.
- 3
In a separate bowl, mix the panko bread crumbs, sesame seeds, and dried parsley.
- 4
Coat each chicken strip generously in the panko mixture, pressing the crumbs onto the chicken so they adhere. Place the coated strips on a wire rack and let them rest for 5–10 minutes.
- 5
Heat neutral oil to 350°F, using enough oil to reach a depth of 2 inches.
- 6
Fry the chicken strips in batches for 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until deeply golden and cooked through. Confirm that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- 7
Transfer the fried chicken strips to a wire rack to drain.
- 8
For the Alfredo sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- 9
Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- 10
Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- 11
Gradually whisk in the heavy cream. Add the milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt, then simmer for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce is slightly thickened.
- 12
Reduce the heat to low and whisk in the freshly grated Parmesan until the sauce is smooth. Do not let the sauce boil.
- 13
Drizzle the Alfredo sauce over the crispy chicken fries. Top with Parmesan cheese and parsley, and serve immediately with extra Alfredo sauce for dipping.
Notes
The source does not specify the quantity of Parmesan and parsley used as toppings. Serve immediately to preserve the crisp coating. The Alfredo sauce should not be boiled after adding the Parmesan.
