Ingredients
- 500 g gnocchi (spritzed with oil)
- 0.5 tbsp oil (for spritzing gnocchi)
- 2 tsp paprika (divided (1 tsp for gnocchi, 1 tsp for beef))
- 2 tsp onion powder (divided (1 tsp for gnocchi, 1 tsp for beef))
- 2 tsp garlic powder (divided (1 tsp for gnocchi, 1 tsp for beef))
- 1 tbsp chilli oil (for frying)
- 300 g lean minced beef (extra lean)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 red pepper (chopped)
- 2 tbsp tomato purée
- 200 ml beef stock
- 2 tsp honey
- 100 ml light single cream
- parsley (fresh, for sprinkling)
Steps
- 1
Spritz the 500g of gnocchi with 1/2 tbsp of oil and toss with 1 tsp each of paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- 2
Cook the seasoned gnocchi in an air fryer at 200°C (390°F) for 15 minutes, or bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
- 3
While the gnocchi cooks, heat 1 tbsp of chilli oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and red pepper and fry until softened.
- 4
Add the 300g of lean minced beef to the pan and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink.
- 5
Stir in 2 tbsp of tomato purée and the remaining 1 tsp each of paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Cook for a few minutes until the tomato purée has darkened slightly.
- 6
Pour in 200ml of beef stock, 100ml of light single cream, and 2 tsp of honey. Stir well to combine.
- 7
Simmer the beef mixture for 10 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded.
- 8
Top the crispy gnocchi with the honey chilli beef and serve with a sprinkling of fresh parsley.
