Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3.5 cup beef broth (A little more may be added halfway through cooking if the noodles need additional liquid.)
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 0.5 cup sour cream (Use 1/2 to 1 cup, to taste.)
- parsley (Fresh or dried, for topping)
Steps
- 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2
Add the ground beef and chopped onion to the skillet. Season with the salt, black pepper, dry mustard, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- 3
Cook until the beef is cooked through, then drain any excess grease from the skillet.
- 4
Add the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Stir everything together well.
- 5
Add the butter to the skillet and cook until it has melted.
- 6
Add the flour, stir it into the beef mixture, and let it cook for at least 1 minute.
- 7
Add the beef broth and egg noodles. Stir well to combine.
- 8
Bring the skillet to a quick boil, then lower the heat to medium or medium-low.
- 9
Cover the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through. If the noodles need more liquid, add a little more beef broth when stirring halfway through.
- 10
Stir in 1/2 to 1 cup of sour cream, adding it to taste.
- 11
Top with fresh or dried parsley and serve.
Notes
The source does not specify the exact amount of additional broth if needed. Sour cream is adjustable from 1/2 to 1 cup according to taste.
