Ingredients
- 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp salt-free Southwest chipotle seasoning blend
- 0.25 tsp kosher salt (coarse)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 cup honey-roasted garlic barbecue sauce
- 0.25 cup water
Steps
- 1
Place each chicken breast between pieces of plastic wrap or waxed paper, with the smooth side facing down. Gently pound the chicken with the flat side of a meat mallet or a rolling pin until each piece is about 1/2 inch thick.
- 2
Rub the finely chopped garlic over the chicken breasts.
- 3
Sprinkle the chicken with the salt-free Southwest chipotle seasoning blend and kosher salt.
- 4
Heat the olive oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- 5
Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, turning once.
- 6
Add the barbecue sauce and water to the skillet. Scrape the bottom of the skillet to loosen the browned particles.
- 7
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes longer, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the center.
