Ingredients
- 2 qt water
- 3 Lipton tea bags (Standard size)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup ice (For serving; fill the serving glass with ice)
Steps
- 1
Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
- 2
When the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from the heat. Add the tea bags, cover the saucepan, and allow the tea to steep for 1 hour.
- 3
Remove and discard the tea bags.
- 4
Add the sugar to a 2-quart pitcher, then pour in the brewed tea. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- 5
Pour the tea into a glass filled with ice and serve. The ice will dilute the tea as it melts.
Notes
Makes 2 quarts. The finished tea is quite sweet when consumed straight; serving it over ice dilutes it. Source: Top Secret Recipes Unlocked by Todd Wilbur.
