Ingredients

  • 3 carrots (peeled and finely grated)
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g grated Comté (or another hard cheese of your choice)
  • salt (a little, to taste)
  • pepper (a little, to taste)
  • cream cheese (for filling, amount to taste)
  • salad greens (a few leaves, for filling)
  • ham (for filling, amount to taste)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

Peel the carrots, then grate them finely.

  3. 3

Mix the grated carrots with the egg and Comté. Add a little salt and pepper, then mix again.

  4. 4

On the prepared baking sheet, form 4 discs with the mixture. Press them down firmly, especially around the edges, so they hold together after baking and the edges do not brown too much.

  5. 5

Bake at 180 °C for 18 to 22 minutes, until the wraps are lightly golden.

  6. 6

When removed from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes. The wraps will firm up and be easier to handle.

  7. 7

Fill the wraps with cream cheese, a few salad leaves, and ham, or with fillings of your choice, then fold them.

Notes

The source specifies 3 carrots, or approximately 200 g. The amount of cream cheese, salad, and ham is not specified.
