  • 50 g low-fat paneer
  • 1 onion (large)
  • 25 g mozzarella cheese
  • 5 ml oil
  • 4 garlic (cloves (method says garlic; count inferred from source list))
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns (source says “black pepper cons”)
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp chilli flakes (source typo: “chilli falkes”)
  • 1 green chilli (chopped)
  • 2 wheat bread (slices)
  • salt (to taste; a pinch is also added to the paneer mixture)
  • coriander stems (amount unspecified)
  • coriander leaves (amount unspecified)
  • water (some, for blending; amount unspecified)

Steps

  1. 1

Heat the 5 ml oil in a kadai.

  2. 2

Add the black peppercorns, garlic, onion, capsicum, tomatoes, salt, and coriander stems.

  3. 3

Sauté over high heat for 3 minutes.

  4. 4

When the vegetables begin to soften, lower the heat, cover the kadai with a lid, and cook for 5 minutes.

  5. 5

Transfer the vegetables to a plate and let them cool to room temperature.

  6. 6

Transfer the cooled vegetables to a mixer jar with some water.

  7. 7

Blend until smooth as a soup, then strain into a pan.

  8. 8

Stir over medium heat for 3 minutes, then switch off the heat.

  9. 9

Add the coriander leaves to the soup.

  10. 10

    Grate the paneer.

  11. 11

Put the grated paneer in a bowl with the mozzarella cheese, chopped green chilli, chilli flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.

  12. 12

    Mix the filling thoroughly.

  13. 13

Spread the filling on one slice of wheat bread and close it with the other slice.

  14. 14

    Preheat a tawa.

  15. 15

Place the sandwich on the preheated tawa and cook for 2 minutes on each side, flipping it until dark brown.

  16. 16

Pour the soup into a bowl and serve with the sandwich. Enjoy.
