Ingredients
- 8 cup water
- 3 Lipton tea bags (Orange pekoe)
- 0.75 cup granulated sugar
- 0.333 cup bottled lemon juice (Source states 1/3 cup)
- 2 tbsp Torani raspberry flavoring syrup
Steps
- 1
Bring the water to a rapid boil in a large saucepan.
- 2
Turn off the heat, add the tea bags, and steep for 1 hour.
- 3
Pour the sugar into a 2-quart pitcher, then add the tea. The tea will still be hot, allowing the sugar to dissolve easily.
- 4
Add the lemon juice and raspberry flavoring syrup.
- 5
Cover the pitcher and chill the iced tea.
Notes
Makes 2 quarts. The source does not specify a chilling duration. Torani is given as the example raspberry syrup brand; a raspberry-flavored syrup is required.
