Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 0.3333333333333333 cup ramen noodles (Do not use the packet seasoning; approximately 85 g per pack.)
- 1 tbsp garlic (Finely chopped)
- 0.5 cup green onions (Some may be reserved for garnish.)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp gochujang paste or red pepper paste (Use 1–2 tablespoons.)
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp honey
- 0.5 cube chicken bouillon cube
- salt (To taste)
- 1 tbsp red chili flakes
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- chives (Optional; for garnish)
- boiled egg (Optional; for serving)
Steps
- 1
Boil the ramen noodles until they are about 80 percent cooked. Reserve 1/3 cup of the noodle-cooking water, then drain the noodles and set them aside.
- 2
Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 3
Add the finely chopped garlic and red chili flakes. Sauté for 15 seconds, or until fragrant.
- 4
Add the green onions, soy sauce, gochujang or red pepper paste, tomato paste, and honey. Mix until well combined.
- 5
Add the reserved ramen water and chicken bouillon. Cook over medium-low heat for 1 minute.
- 6
Taste the sauce and adjust the salt accordingly.
- 7
Add the drained ramen noodles to the pan. Let them finish cooking in the sauce until fully cooked and coated.
- 8
Add the sesame oil and mix it through the noodles.
- 9
Garnish with more green onion and the optional chives. Serve with a boiled egg if desired.
Notes
The source does not specify the ramen pack weight, so the nutrition estimate assumes approximately 85 g per pack. The source also does not specify the amount of optional chives or boiled egg.
