Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon zest (Zest of 1 lemon)
  • 1 lemon juice (Juice of 1 lemon)
  • 1 lime zest (Zest of 1 lime)
  • 1 lime juice (Juice of 1 lime)
  • 2 tbsp fruit punch
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate juice
  • 1 tsp citric acid
  • 5 drops neon blue food dye
  • 1 cup seltzer water (For one glass)
  • ice (For serving)
  • 9 tbsp Nuka-Cola Quantum syrup (For one glass)

Steps

  1. 1

Combine the water, sugar, lemon zest, lime zest, fruit punch, and pomegranate juice in a medium saucepan. Place the saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk until the sugar has dissolved, and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

Remove the syrup from the heat and strain it into an airtight container. Add the lime juice and lemon juice, then mix in the citric acid and neon blue food dye. Once cooled, cover the container and refrigerate for at least 12 hours and up to 2 weeks.

  3. 3

To make one ice-cold glass, combine 1 cup seltzer water, ice, and 9 tablespoons of Nuka-Cola Quantum syrup. Stir together and serve.

Notes

The source lists a prep time of 12 hours, a cook time of 30 minutes, and 15 to 20 servings. The syrup can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. It pairs well with Mississippi Quantum Pie (page 159).
