Ingredients
- 600 g Farmer’s cheese (With a fat content of 0–9%.)
- 1 Egg white
- Sweetener (To taste.)
- Salt (A pinch.)
- 40 g Raisins (Preferably soak in boiling water for 10–15 minutes beforehand.)
- 60 g Rice flour (Add to the dough.)
- 10 g Rice flour (For coating the syrnyky.)
- Water (Boiling water for soaking the raisins, as needed.)
- Oil (For frying, optional; the syrnyky can be fried without oil.)
Steps
- 1
If desired, cover the raisins with boiling water and leave for 10–15 minutes, then drain.
- 2
Place the farmer’s cheese in a bowl. Add the salt, sweetener, egg white, raisins, and 60 g of rice flour.
- 3
Mix well until smooth.
- 4
Take a small portion of the cheese mixture and shape it into a ball.
- 5
Coat the ball in 10 g of rice flour and flatten it into a small disk.
- 6
Repeat the shaping, coating, and flattening to make approximately 15 syrnyky.
- 7
To bake, place the syrnyky in an oven preheated to 180 °C and bake for approximately 30 minutes.
- 8
Alternatively, fry the syrnyky in a pan with or without oil over medium heat, covered with a lid, until golden brown on both sides.
- 9
Serve the finished syrnyky.
