Hibiscus Mango Iced Tea

Hibiscus Mango Iced Tea

Imported by Starr2 on SeeMeCook

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Dried hibiscus flowers
  • 2 cup Hot water
  • Honey or maple syrup (1–2 tbsp, to taste)
  • 1 Ripe mango (Juiced until smooth)
  • 0.5 cup Cold water
  • 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup Ice (For serving)

Steps

  1. 1

Add the dried hibiscus flowers to a heatproof pitcher. Pour the hot water over the flowers.

  2. 2

Let the hibiscus steep for 8–10 minutes, then strain out and discard the flowers.

  3. 3

While the tea is still warm, stir in 1–2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup, adjusting the sweetness to taste.

  4. 4

Let the sweetened hibiscus tea cool completely.

  5. 5

    Juice the mango until smooth.

  6. 6

Add the smooth mango juice and fresh lemon juice to the cooled hibiscus tea. Stir well to combine.

  7. 7

Fill a glass with ice, then pour the hibiscus mango iced tea over the ice and serve.

Notes

The source does not specify an exact cooling time. Add more mango for a sweeter drink, use less honey if the mango is very ripe, or add extra lemon for a sharper flavor. The author used a Kuvings AUTO10 Plus to make the fresh mango juice.
