Ingredients
- 250 g spaghetti
- 300 g chicken breast (cut into thin strips)
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 3 garlic (minced)
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 1 carrot (julienned)
- 1 capsicum (green bell pepper, sliced into strips)
- 1 cup cabbage (shredded)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 0.5 tsp black pepper (ground)
- salt (to taste)
Steps
- 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Heat cooking oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
- 3
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 4
Add the chicken strips to the pan. Cook, stirring frequently, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
- 5
Add the sliced onions and carrots to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until they begin to soften.
- 6
Incorporate the sliced capsicum and shredded cabbage. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes so the vegetables remain crisp.
- 7
Pour in the soy sauce, chili sauce, and vinegar. Season with ground black pepper and salt to taste. Stir well to coat the chicken and vegetables.
- 8
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet. Toss everything together thoroughly until the pasta is well-coated in the sauce and heated through.
- 9
Serve hot, garnished with extra black pepper if desired.
Notes
For a spicier kick, you can add red chili flakes or increase the amount of chili sauce. Ensure the vegetables are not overcooked to maintain a nice crunch.
