Homemade Ginger Ale

Ingredients
- 0.25 cup Fresh ginger root (chopped into small pieces)
- 0.5 cup Water (for blending the ginger)
- Ice (to taste for the glass)
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice (fresh)
- 1 tbsp Simple syrup (or to taste to sweeten)
- 1 cup Sparkling mineral water (to top off the drink)
Steps

Cut or break the ginger root into small pieces to make blending easier.

Add the ginger pieces to a blender along with a bit of water.

Blend well until a smooth and consistent mixture is obtained.

Fill a glass with ice to your liking.

Strain the ginger mixture directly over the glass with ice to remove the pulp.

Add the lemon juice and simple syrup to the glass.

Mix the ingredients well with a spoon.

Fill the rest of the glass with sparkling mineral water to give it some fizz.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of ginger according to your preference for spiciness. Simple syrup can be substituted for honey or agave if you prefer a less processed option.
