Ingredients

  • 1 cup Grated semi-hard cheese (It can be pategrás, Mar del Plata, or any semi-hard cheese.)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Skim milk powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt (Level.)
  • 1 tsp Baking powder (Optional.)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 200 °C. If you are using an air fryer, have it ready to cook the chipacitos.

  2. 2

Mix the grated cheese, egg, skim milk powder, salt, and, if desired, the baking powder until a dough forms.

  3. 3

Shape the dough into small balls. The recipe indicates that three chipacitos provide approximately 15–17.5 g of protein, so the estimated yield is about nine chipacitos.

  4. 4

Place the balls in the preheated oven at 200 °C and cook them until done. Alternatively, cook them in the air fryer for 12–15 minutes.

  5. 5

Remove the chipacitos and serve them, for example, for breakfast with coffee.

Notes

The description provides the cooking time only for the air fryer (12–15 minutes); it does not specify the exact oven cooking time. The published macronutrients for three chipacitos are approximately 201 kcal, 17.5 g of protein, 8.2 g of fat, and 13.4 g of carbohydrates.
