- 0.75 tsp Onion powder (For the chicken patties)
- 0.75 tsp Paprika (For the chicken patties)
- 0.25 tsp White pepper (For the chicken patties)
- Salt (To taste, for the chicken patties)
- 75 g All-purpose flour (For coating)
- 75 g All-purpose flour (For the batter)
- 120 ml Cold water (For the batter)
- Salt (A pinch, for the batter)
- Vegetable oil (For frying)
- 75 g Mayonnaise (For the burger sauce)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (For the burger sauce)
- 0.75 tsp Pickle juice (For the burger sauce)
- 0.25 tsp Garlic powder (For the burger sauce)
- Black pepper (To taste, for the burger sauce)
- 3 Burger buns
- Iceberg lettuce (Shredded; plenty, for assembly)
Steps
- 1
Put the ground chicken in a bowl. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, white pepper, and salt, then mix until evenly combined.
- 2
Divide the mixture into 3 equal portions. Shape each portion into a thin patty slightly larger than a burger bun.
- 3
Spread the 75 g flour designated for coating in a shallow dish. Coat each patty in the flour.
- 4
In a bowl, whisk the remaining 75 g flour with the cold water and a pinch of salt until the batter is smooth.
- 5
Dip each floured patty into the batter, allowing the excess to drip off.
- 6
Fry the battered patties in vegetable oil until golden, crispy, and cooked through. Transfer them to a wire rack.
- 7
Mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and black pepper until the sauce is smooth.
- 8
Lightly toast the burger buns.
- 9
Spread the sauce on both halves of each bun. Add a crispy chicken patty and finish with plenty of shredded iceberg lettuce.
Notes
The source does not specify frying temperature, oil quantity, or a cooking time; fry until the patties are cooked through. It also does not give a measured amount for lettuce.
