High-Protein Carnivore Bread

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 120 g flavourless whey protein
- 30 g flavourless collagen
- 90 g plain low-fat Greek yoghurt
- sea salt (Pinch)
- 1 tsp baking soda
Steps
- 1
Whisk the eggs and egg yolks in a bowl until smooth. Mix the Greek yoghurt into the egg mixture until evenly combined.
- 2
In a separate bowl, combine the flavourless whey protein, flavourless collagen, sea salt, and baking soda.
- 3
Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until smooth. The creator notes that adding everything at once also worked for them.
- 4
Line a loaf tin with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and smooth the top.
- 5
Bake at 190°C / 375°F for around 30 minutes, or until the loaf is golden and cooked through.
- 6
Let the loaf cool before slicing. It makes approximately 10 slices.
Notes
The creator reports approximately 1,000 calories, 160 g protein, 10 g carbohydrates, and 30 g fat for the whole loaf, or approximately 100 calories, 16 g protein, 1 g carbohydrates, and 3 g fat per slice. The loaf may be dry; the creator suggests serving it with butter, sauce, or scrambled eggs. Collagen is not a complete protein like whey or eggs, so the creator recommends using the bread alongside other quality protein sources. Nutrition estimates for individual ingredients are approximate and may vary by protein powder brand.
