Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2.5 tbsp cornstarch (Used to thicken the milk mixture.)
  • cornstarch (For coating the chilled milk pieces.)
  • egg (For coating the chilled milk pieces.)
  • Cap’n Crunch cereal (Crushed, for coating.)
  • frying oil (For deep-frying.)

Steps

  1. 1

Heat the sugar, milk, and measured cornstarch together in a saucepan, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

Transfer the thickened milk mixture to a plastic container and let it cool in the refrigerator overnight, until it sets into a milk-jello-like consistency.

  3. 3

The next day, cut the chilled milk mixture into pieces.

  4. 4

Crush the Cap’n Crunch cereal into a coating.

  5. 5

Dip each milk-jello piece in cornstarch, then egg, and then the crushed Cap’n Crunch cereal.

  6. 6

Deep-fry the coated pieces. Repeat the cornstarch, egg, cereal, and deep-frying process for the remaining pieces.

  7. 7

Serve the fried milk pieces while the coating is crunchy and the inside is soft.

Notes

The source does not specify the amount of coating cornstarch, egg, cereal, or frying oil, nor does it provide a frying temperature or frying time. Use enough coating ingredients to cover the milk pieces and enough oil for deep-frying.
