Ingredients
- 1 pack Scotch Finger biscuits (approx. 250g; crushed into a fine crumb)
- 100 g butter (melted)
- 0.5 tin sweetened condensed milk (approx. 195g)
- sprinkles (divided; for folding into the base and topping)
- 1 pack white chocolate (approx. 180-200g)
Steps
- 1
Crush the Scotch Finger biscuits into a fine crumb using a food processor, or place them in a ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- 2
Melt the 100g of butter.
- 3
In a large bowl, add the crushed biscuits, 1/2 tin of condensed milk, and the melted butter.
- 4
Mix the ingredients together until well combined.
- 5
Fold a portion of the sprinkles through the mixture.
- 6
Press the mixture firmly and evenly into a 20 cm x 20 cm baking tin lined with parchment paper.
- 7
Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until completely smooth.
- 8
Pour the melted chocolate over the biscuit base and spread evenly.
- 9
Top the chocolate layer with extra sprinkles while still wet.
- 10
Place the tin in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the slice is fully set.
- 11
Slice into squares or triangles (for a traditional fairy bread look) and enjoy.
Notes
For a traditional fairy bread appearance, cut the set slice into triangles. Ensure the baking tin is well-lined to make removal easier.
